KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
is to launch direct flights between Amsterdam and Linköping. Starting on
March 30th 2008, KLM will fly the Amsterdam - Linköping route twice daily, using Fokker 70 jet
service.

Östergötland area has long aspired to become Sweden's fourth metropolitan area. Many national
and international companies have a strong presence in this region. The fact that Linköping is a
university city with a research hospital and a top class Science Park, and that Norrköping has the
Baltic’s largest port clearly demonstrates the strategic importance of this area. Important to KLM is
also incoming traffic to the region looking at the business segment and the leisure attractions. With
the opening of the Linköping route, we will be the first large international airline with three gateways
in Sweden – Stockholm, Gothenburg and Linköping.”
Including Linköping, the joint Air France and KLM operated network in North Europe consists of 14 destinations, Linköping being the third in
Sweden. This new Swedish service furthermore offers good connections beyond the Amsterdam hub to 60 intercontinental KLM
destinations and 65 other European KLM destinations.
Direct flights to and from Amsterdam will go twice daily, departing Linköping at 06.45 and 12.15, and departing Amsterdam at 09.35 and 20.40.
The flight time is two hours, and the route will open on March 30th 2008.
