Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza joins Accor's Hotel Network

Travel News Asia Friday, 31 August 2007

The Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza has joined the Accor hotel network in Japan as a Novotel Associate Hotel.

The stylish 4-star hotel, designed by renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni, is one of the only high-rise hotels in Ginza, with hotel rooms starting on the twentieth floor, providing outstanding views across Tokyo’s cityscape.

The location of the hotel allows easy access to major tourist and city attractions of Tokyo, including Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo Big Sight, Roppongi and Odaiba. A short walk from the hotel is the upmarket shopping and entertainment district of Ginza, with the Shimbashi and the Shiodome shopping and business complexes nearby.

For leisure visitors there are more than 400 art galleries, an abundance of restaurants, clothes boutiques, the Kabukiza Theater and the Tsukiji Fish Market all within walking distance.

The Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza is an excellent choice for business travellers, with a range of business services and facilities, including free high-speed internet access in all rooms. The airport limousine bus, travels directly to the hotel from Narita International Airport.

The interiors and rooms of the hotel have been designed in rich earth-tone colors to provide a sense of calm and relaxation in contrast to the frenetic urban backdrop of Tokyo.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in each guest room make the most of the superb day and night time views of Ginza and downtown Tokyo. Many bathrooms feature large windows providing excellent views of the city, as well as natural light for grooming. Special glass windows between the bathroom and bedroom can be turned from clear to opaque at the flick of a switch, allowing both privacy and the feeling of light and space.

Dining options also make the most of the spectacular city views. The appropriately named Restaurant Sky, on the 19th floor of the hotel, offers Italian cuisine created with seasonal organic vegetables, including six different varieties of homemade bread, plus hand-made pastas. An extensive wine list complements the cuisine. For pre or post-dinner drinks the Karin Lounge & Cocktail Bar, located on the 16th floor, is an ideal venue to enjoy a pleasant drink while enjoying fantastic panoramic views of Tokyo.

Mitsui Garden is Accor’s third hotel in Tokyo, joining Mercure Hotel Ginza Tokyo and Mercure Hotel Narita. Rates at the Mitsui Garden start from Yen 18000++ per room, per night.
