Season (giving access to both days of the event) and Saturday tickets for this year’s Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens have sold out. Just over 1,000 tickets are however still available for the first day of the IRB Sevens World Series, on Friday, November 30th.

“We have never sold out of Season and Saturday tickets so far in advance of kick-off and the rapid sales are a reflection of just how popular this world-class event has become,” said Gary Chapman, President Group Services and Dnata, Emirates Group.

The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, which is the opening leg of the 2007/2008 IRB World Series will once again see the likes of top rugby nations England, Fiji, South Africa, France and New Zealand battling it out for honours at the Dubai Exiles.

In what is truly a unique experience, the Dubai Exiles is transformed into a sporting arena with the free-standing stadium built from the ground up to accommodate over 32,000 passionate fans every day.

Away from the white-hot atmosphere of the international matches, competitions featuring International Invitation, Gulf, Local Social, Ladies, Veterans, and Youth see all four grass pitches in almost constant use over the three days.

Once again, the popular 2,000 seat ‘Family Stand’ will be available for those who want to enjoy the rugby together in a dedicated, alcohol-free area. And to help transfer fans from the Dubai Exiles back into Dubai, 12 double decker buses will be on hand from 7pm until after midnight. The buses will rotate every 10 minutes, can hold up to 70 people and will be free.

The opening day of the event, on Thursday, November 29, which kick-starts the local, regional and invitation competitions, is free to the public.
