Major Expansion for Singapore-based IndoChine Group

Singapore-based IndoChine Group, is extending its reach overseas with the launch of new venues in New Delhi, and a second venue in Kuala Lumpur next month. The group will also break into the Middle Eastern market with another venue set to open in Dubai early next year.

The IndoChine Group of bars, restaurants and clubs is a unique reflection of contemporary Asian lifestyle that is known for its authentic 'nutriceutical' cuisine, award winning designs, prominent events and internationally famed parties. Apart from the 15 outlets in Singapore, IndoChine has venues in KL, Malaysia and Hamburg, Germany.

The group's first foray into resort and hotel development with The Reef in Phuket, Thailand is due for completion later next year.

Commenting on why they have chosen to work with the IndoChine Group in New Delhi, Mr Suvir the owner of Hard Rock Caf in New Delhi said, "IndoChine is a leading brand in Asia and to date we have been very successful with our food & beverage ventures in New Delhi. The synergy between our visions is very complementary not to mention that New Delhi is the perfect location to bring a new lifestyle concept to India."

As for opening the second venue in Kuala Lumpur next month, Ma said, "Being in Kuala Lumpur for the last few years has given us an in-depth knowledge of what KL's market demands. However, just like any other market, the needs and wants of customers there will change, and being in touch with our customers, the market and industry trends provides us with an advantage in being one step ahead of our competitors."

Venturing into the unexplored territory of hotel development for the group, The Reef in Phuket will be a 140 room resort facing the beachfront of Patong Beach, inspired by the natural modular form of a coral reef.
