Malaysia Holiday Tours launches New Internet Booking Engine with Abacus WebConnect

Travel News Asia Monday, 29 January 2007

Abacus International looks set to add to the 150% booking growth achieved through its Abacus WebConnect solution in 2006 with this week’s launch of a new internet booking engine by leading travel agency Malaysia Holiday Tours.

Abacus WebConnect is a business-to-customer (B2C) solution which helps travel agents connect their own websites to the vast array of travel content and solutions offered by Abacus.

“By making travel content available 24/7 on a website with their own agency branding, Malaysia Holiday Tours have joined the ranks of those who can offer global customers the opportunity to shop and make online bookings independently, freeing travel agents to focus on key business activities such as closing sales,” said Mr Brett Henry, Vice-President, Centres of Excellence at Abacus International.

Through a partnership with GoQuo Malaysia, a leading software systems provider, the new Holiday Tours booking engine features dynamic packaging of travel content with GQDynamic, which integrates travel content and simplifies the search process for travellers, while providing a fuss-free solution for agents to maximise growth and minimise operational costs.

Ms Pink Kee, Information Technology Manager of Malaysia Holiday Tours, said, “This booking engine has provided a cost-effective opportunity for us to boost our online presence and expand our customer base with a website customised in our own look and feel. Working with an Abacus-certified supplier such as GoQuo Malaysia has enabled us to provide more value for our customers by providing real-time access to a full range of search choices for air, hotel and car content as well as travel insurance and package holidays.”
