Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Friday, 28 September 2007

Costa Cruises has launched a special Middle East cruise package designed for travelers from Hong Kong. The 8-day cruise package onboard Costa Europa or Costa Romantica will take travelers across the Persian Gulf - to five cities spanning three countries in the Middle East: Dubai, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The newly-launched cruise package including a return plane ticket between Hong Kong and Dubai is priced from HK$10,800 per person, for travel from 22 December 2007 to 22 March 2008.

"Costa Cruises and the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing have signed a cooperative agreement to promote both brands worldwide. In addition to Costa's unique Italian flair, we are excited to bring a wider variety of adventurous itineraries and fabulous destinations to Hong Kong travellers," said Massimo Brancaleoni, Vice President of Costa Cruises Pacific Asia Operations.

Experience the exciting journey onboard Costa Europa and Costa Romantica. The first destination is Dubai, one of the most exclusive cities in the world with mosques and shopping centres surrounded by desert and sea. Muscat, the capital of Oman and the country's largest city comes as the second destination. Sail through the spectacular Oman coastline and then discover the rich heritage in Muscat with splendid ancient walls, tombs and mosques. Fujairah comes next and brings passengers to the mysterious landscape of red dunes and rock, traditional stone houses and small villages. Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE is the fourth destination. It is a very modern city that still retains some of its ancient traditions best seen in the old souk and the Bastakia quarter. It also has a vast inland area with enchanting oases of Al Jiwa and Buraimi. The cruise finally arrives to the shores of Bahrain.

The interior of the Costa Europa cruise ship is accentuated by the mystery of Greek myths and legends. Roomy lounges and cozy corners and prestigious works of art create the charm of the Costa Europa. A stroll around the nine spacious decks: Hercules, Auriga, Cassiopea, Orion, Perseus, Andromeda, Pegasus, Sirens and Centaurus, guests will find a selection of elegant lounges, cafes, shopping area, casino and all the glitter and glamour of nightlife.

Costa Romantica epitomizes Costa's devotion to Italian design. Richly embellished public rooms feature rare woods and Carrara marble, exquisitely detailed by the finest European artisans. Millions of dollars have been invested in original works of art. Guests of the Costa Romantica cruise ship can refresh themselves in a fully contained spa which offers beauty treatments, therapies and personalized instruction or they relax in her generously proportioned and luxuriously appointed staterooms. Costa Romantica is one of the most comfortable and elegant ships in the Costa fleet.
