The
Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou celebrated its grand opening on Monday, allowing guests from home and abroad to experience its comprehensive
facilities and enjoy the renowned Shangri-La hospitality.
Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou is the first international deluxe hotel in
Suzhou’s National New and Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone and is located
between the 28th and 51st floors of the Metropolitan Tower. The hotel provides 390 spacious rooms and suites with
magnificent views of the New District.
The Horizon Club floors comprise of 100 rooms, including a Horizon Club
Lounge that is located on the 48th floor and with sweeping views of the
city.
Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou’s six restaurants and bars provide guests with a
range of dining and entertainment options. The renowned Shang Palace
presents modern Cantonese and Huai Yang cuisine. Café Soo serves the very
best in international as well as Asian buffet. Restaurant Suntory
features authentic Japanese “kaiseki.” Club Red Bar provides upbeat
music, a lounge bar, private karaoke and wine, while the Lobby Lounge
creates the perfect venue for meeting and relaxation.
Meeting and banquet facilities include 1,310 square metre pillarless Grand Ballroom with a ceiling height of eight metres, capable of hosting
up to 1,200 guests for cocktail receptions or 800 for dinner banquets, and the 478 square-metre Metropolitan Ballroom, which holds up to 350 guests
for cocktail receptions or 220 for dinner banquets. There is also an auditorium and five function rooms able to cater to a variety of meeting
requirements.
The Health Club features a wide variety of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. The gymnasium offers state of the art
cardiovascular and weight training equipment, plus a steam sauna and Jacuzzi, complemented by an indoor swimming pool. Outdoor facilities
include two tennis courts and a synthetic mini-golf putting green.
