Suntec Singapore appoints New Director Marketing & Communications

Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre has appointed Anjna V. Nihalani as Director, Marketing & Communications.

In her new role, Ms Nihalani will be responsible for all the communication and marketing activities for the venue, including strategic marketing programmes, advertising and promotions, media and public relations activities, internal and external communications, community and government relations as well as corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Prior to joining Suntec Singapore, Ms Nihalani was Assistant Director, Business Travel & MICE Group of the Singapore Tourism Board where, amongst her broad portfolio, she was responsible for identifying opportunities within the financial, medical and education markets for Singapore. Throughout her career and over the course of ten years, Ms Nihalani has held various positions in marketing, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility programmes with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Maryland, USA and Singapore. She is well experienced in the communications field and has held responsibilities in the execution of conferences as well.

In addition to her work, Ms Nihalani has a strong interest in supporting children’s causes. She was responsible for setting up the Asean Children’s Foundation, a charity to treat children suffering from childhood leukemia in ASEAN.

Ms Nihalani received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia in Canada and a Master in Health Services Administration from the George Washington University in the USA. She speaks several languages that include French, Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and Hindi. Married with a child, she enjoys reading, yoga, music, cooking and traveling in her free time.
