Preferred Hotel Group appoints Mark Wong as VP Marketing and Development-Asia

Preferred Hotel Group Asia Pacific has appointed Mark Wong as Vice President, Marketing & Development - Asia. Based in Singapore, this is a newly created position to aid the growth of Preferred Hotel Group in the region and to increase revenue-generating strategies to its Asia Pacific partner hotels.

“In addition to development, Mark will be driving new and improved eCommerce strategies which will greatly benefit our partner hotels and place Preferred Hotel Group on a much more competitive platform,” said Ananya Narayan, Area Managing Director - Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Preferred Hotel Group, Mark Wong held the position of Executive Vice President, Head of Travel with Open World, a global company specializing in eCommerce solutions for the hospitality industry based in Chicago. During his illustrious and diverse career, he held the senior positions in Product Development at American Express B2B eCommerce in New York and Loyalty Marketing for Hyatt International Hotels in Hong Kong. He also accomplished integrated marketing assignments with acclaimed advertising agencies including Bates Worldwide, McCann Erickson and Foote, Cone & Belding. Mark Wong obtained his Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and undergraduate degrees from University of Washington.
