Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen opens Le Spa

Travel News Asia Thursday, 24 May 2007

The Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen has opened the first Le Spa in northeast Thailand’s ‘Isaan’ region.

To celebrate the launch Le Spa has created a 2-night ‘Double Decadent Ritual’ package for couples and honeymooners for 14,700 baht (US$426). The deal includes accommodation in a superior room, breakfast, round trip airport transfers and 2 four-hour spa treatments.

It is Sofitel’s third Le Spa outlet in Asia Pacific and blends European wellness and spa practices with Thai massage and beauty treatments. The hotel has invested over 15 million baht (US$435,000) in spa hardware and training to provide the ultimate experience for guests.

General Manager Marc Begassat said, “Le Spa blends European spa sophistication with Isaan style elements, so the interior design reflects the destination and heritage of Isaan. Today’s hotel guest is more experience orientated and Le Spa gives Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen a competitive advantage for northeast Thailand.”

Covering more than 500sqm, LeSpa integrates regional design motifs such antique ox cart wheels and 80 year old local tables with a chic European interior design. Le Spa offers nine treatment rooms all with private shower. There is also one VIP treatment suite for couples and another VIP body scrub treatment room featuring the latest imported ‘wet bed’ technology.

Only exclusive Decleor products from Paris are used for treatments at Le Spa, supplemented with the highest quality local items from Thailand’s leading Punpuri spa brand. Le Spa therapists have all undergone extensive training from European and local spa experts to ensure the highest levels of service and professionalism.
