Emirates launches Rugby World Cup 2007 Tickets Promotion

Emirates is offering its passengers complimentary match tickets to the Rugby World Cup 2007.

As the Official Airline of the Rugby World Cup, Emirates is offering each adult passenger booking First and Business Class return airfares online at emirates.com, and on completion of their first outbound flight, two tickets to their choice of selected Pool matches.

The Rugby World Cup 2007 will be hosted in France from 7th September to 20th October.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide, Emirates, said, “To mark this exciting sponsorship, we are offering complimentary tickets to the Rugby World Cup 2007 Pool matches to our first and business class passengers.

“We have a strong affiliation with the sport of rugby, being the title sponsor of the sevens tournaments in Dubai, South Africa, London and Scotland. Emirates will also be the title sponsor of the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009 which has just been awarded to Dubai.”

To take advantage of this exclusive offer, valid until the 31st July 2007, bookings must be made online in First or Business C lass at emirates.com to an Emirates destination (excluding Trans Tasman, Intra GCC and/or GCC-Indian Subcontinent destinations) from the UK, New Zealand, GCC, Australia or South Africa and the first outbound sector flown between these dates. In addition, any and all persons who become entitled to Match Tickets under the offer will be eligible for a 10% discount on any Emirates flight from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and GCC countries to any UK or European destination between 1st and 30th September 2007.

In addition to the sponsorship of sevens tournaments around the world, Emirates is also the shirt sponsor of the England and Samoa sevens teams and sponsors of the IRB referees and match officials.
