Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali opens Newly Renovated Nusantara Ballroom

Travel News Asia Monday, 23 April 2007

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has opened its newly renovated Nusantara Ballroom with a stylish interior designed by renowned Indonesian architect Hadi Prana.

The 1482 sqm ballroom has been redesigned to incorporate decorative wall panelling in a rich shade of caramel that is sound proofed for complete privacy. This is complemented by wall to wall abstract carpeting in earthy tones of green and brown that makes the setting look more modern without compromising comfort. The other element that highlights this renovation is the unique chandelier lighting in triangular shaped clusters to project soft illumination and a calming ambience over the entire room.

Outside is an elegant pre-function area with a glass wall allowing natural light to filter through. This area is a contrast from the ballroom itself in that it provides a sense of balance and a space to relax during coffee breaks and event recesses. The tastefully appointed pre-function environment can also be divided into sections with a specially designed partition made of fine copper fibres that are almost transparent. For private events, this area transforms into a sophisticated foyer.

The Nusantara Ballroom caters to meetings of up to 1500 participants in a theatre style setting; however, it can be divided into sections of smaller function rooms for groups as small as 80 business delegates.
