InterContinental Hotels Group in Oman signs Agreement with Tejari Oman to Apply E-Procurement

Travel News Asia Monday, 23 April 2007

InterContinental Hotels Group in Oman (IHG) has signed an agreement with Omania E-Commerce (OEC) to move its procurement processes online via “Tejari Transact”. This is a set of commercial solutions processed through the Internet, which guarantees flexibility and transparency as well as reduces purchasing costs.

This move is expected to considerably help IHG Oman further streamline its procurement processes and allow it to reach out and be available to potential suppliers and business associates in other parts of the world. IHG Oman incorporates Al Bustan Palace InterContinental, InterContinental Muscat, Crowne Plaza Muscat, Crowne Plaza Salalah and Holiday Inn Muscat Al Madinah. Tejari, one of the Middle East’s leading B2B e-Marketplaces has an established presence across the region and is rapidly growing, with over 80,000 members.

OEC was established in 2005 with a vision to become the leading ICT solutions provider in Oman. It has established strategic partnerships with various leading e-solution providers from the region and internationally.

Tejari services help reduce transaction costs, increase clients' base and cut costs of purchases with present partners as well as increasing the Internet exporters' base.
