Cunard adds Extra Cruise to QE2's Farewell Voyages

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 22 August 2007

Cunard has added an extra voyage to the QE2's Farewell Voyages. Cunard announced in June that the world-famous vessel would leave the fleet in November 2008 and begin a new life as a first-class hotel and entertainment destination in Dubai.

The new eight-night voyage will depart Southampton on 27 April 2008 and call at Lisbon, La Corruna, Bilbao, Le Verdon and La Rochelle. Fares start from £699 per person for an inside M6 grade stateroom and rise up to £4,019 per person for the luxurious Grand Suite.

Carol Marlow, Cunard’s President and Managing Director, said, “The demand for QE2 voyages in 2008 since we announced she was leaving the fleet has been phenomenal. While we do still have space on some sailings next year, the introduction of this new voyage means we can give people a further opportunity to experience the most famous ship in the world before she ceases her role as an ocean-going passenger vessel.”
