Tiger Airways Australia awarded Air Operators Certificate

Tiger Airways Australia has been awarded its Air Operators Certificate and will be commencing its first domestic services across Australia, as planned, from the morning of Friday 23 November 2007.

I am extremely proud of the entire Tiger Airways team. Each and every one of them has played a vital role in Tiger Airways Australia getting off the ground Tiger Group CEO Tony Davis said. 

The Australian traveling public and the tourism industry will reap the substantial benefits of having the real deal in low fare travel finally arrive Tony Davis said.

Tiger Airways Australia will begin operating its first flights to the Gold Coast, Rockhampton and MacKay as scheduled on Friday 23 November, with services between Melbourne and Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle, Canberra, Launceston, Hobart, Alice Springs and Sunshine Coast being added over the coming weeks and months.

Tiger Airways has well and truly stamped its pawprint on Australian low fare travel. Based on the number of bookings we have had I can easily say that Australians have warmly embraced their new Tiger said Tony Davis.

Tiger Airways Australia is a wholly owned airline by Tiger Aviation Private Limited. The Tiger Aviation Group also own 100% of Tiger Airways Singapore.
