New Executive Appointments at Meritus Hotels in Singapore

Meritus Hotels & Resorts has made the following key appointments in the management teams of the Meritus Mandarin Singapore and Marina Mandarin Singapore.

Resident Manager, Marina Mandarin Singapore: Newly promoted as the Resident Manager, Mr Wilson Lim will assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Hotel such as the Rooms, Food & Beverage and Kitchen divisions. The Rooms Division includes the Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and Engineering departments, while the Food & Beverage and Culinary departments comprise four Food & Beverage outlets, Pool Garden, the Room Service, Catering and Banquet operations. 

Backed by a commendable 27-year experience in the hospitality industry, Wilson has been with Marina Mandarin since 1995 and was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) for Rooms Division from 2004 to 2007. In his new appointment, he will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s level of hospitality. He will also be tasked to inject vibrancy and innovation into the hotel’s culinary offerings, ensuring the highest level of wine and dine experience.

Director of Sales & Marketing, Marina Mandarin Singapore: Ms. Serene Law has been promoted to helm the Sales & Marketing division of Marina Mandarin as the Director of Sales & Marketing in charge of its corporate, group and leisure sales.

Starting out as a Senior Sales Manager, Serene has since amassed an impressive 27 -year experience with various five-star hotel properties that like the Westin Stamford & Plaza, Conrad, Four Seasons, Shangri-La and Meritus Mandarin Singapore.

In her new capacity as the Director of Sales & Marketing, Serene is tasked to bring Marina Mandarin to greater heights, and to continually exemplify the standards of being a proud member of the Leading Hotels of the World in Singapore.

Director of Marketing Communications, Marina Mandarin Singapore: Ms Lim Ee Jin joined Marina Mandarin after its major refurbishment in March 2006, and has been its Marketing Communications Manager since.

Ee Jin will continue to oversee the Marina Mandarin’s communication strategies, working in tandem with the Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage divisions. Her responsibilities include the consistent delivery of excellent hospitality experience across all brand building touch points, and the enhancement of Meritus’ brand equity through strategic platform initiatives.

A graduate with an Honours Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, Ee Jin last worked at Swissotel The Stamford, Raffles The Plaza and Ogilvy & Mather.

Director of Human Resource, Meritus Mandarin Singapore: Ms Elaine Toh has joined the Meritus Mandarin as its Director of Human Resources and will play an active role in defining the Hotel’s human resource objectives and strategies as well as implementing welfare programmes and training initiatives.

Starting out as a Personnel Officer almost two decades ago, Elaine has worked with various reputable establishments, particularly in the field of hospitality, such as New Park Hotel, Le Meridien and Traders Hotel. She was also previously with Meritus Mandarin Singapore (then The Mandarin Singapore) as Senior Personnel Officer in the early 1990s. Prior to her new appointment, Elaine was most recently the Director of Human Resource of Grand Plaza Park Hotel City Hall.

Elaine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
