Tiger Airways and AIG launch Tiger Purrtection Travel Insurance

Travel News Asia Monday, 21 May 2007

Tiger Airways has launched Tiger Purrtection Travel Insurance, a travel insurance product exclusively designed for Tiger Airways passengers. Tiger Purrtection is underwritten by American Home Assurance Company, Singapore (AHA), a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG).

Tiger Purrtection provides a wide range of coverage that includes accident-related medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation expenses, 24-hour personal or flight accidents, flight delays, baggage thefts, trip cancellations or interruptions and 24-hour emergency assistance.

Tiger Purrtection Travel insurance is exclusively available on tigerairways.com and can only be purchased during the flight booking process. The insurance is available to all Tiger Airways passengers up to 75 years old who are flying out of Singapore to any Tiger Airways’ destination.

“Travel insurance is a must for savvy travelers. They know that investing a small amount in travel insurance goes a long way in providing protection during their travels - be it for a weekend holiday in Phuket or a week-long trip in Australia, the risk of unforeseen events is always present. That is why Tiger Airways has teamed up with insurance partner AHA to launch Tiger Purrtection. At a cost of just Sin$5 per flight sector, this travel insurance product is very affordable to our discerning customers - a small price to pay for peace of mind,” said Tiger Airways Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer, Rosalynn Tay.
