Nok Air launches Hunt for new Cabin Crew

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 21 February 2007

Low cost Thailand-based airline, Nok Air  has launched “Nok Hunt 2007”, a search for new Nok Air flight attendants.

“Following the success of the first “Nok Hunt” reality TV show in 2004 and “Nok Hunt 2005 – The New Generation” in 2005, Nok Air is once again searching in its own unique way for flight attendants”, said Patee Sarasin, CEO of Nok Air. “We are doing this in a style that truly captures the spirit of Nok Air as it continues to expand to more destinations. “Nok Hunt 2007” enables us to find air hostesses who have all the attributes and the special personalities we are looking for, and in a totally different way from what has been done before.”

“Nok Hunt 2007” involved each of the participating 60 candidates in a variety of competitive and challenging activities designed to demonstrate the skills they will need if they are to become part of the popular Nok Air culture.

There are 6 different checkpoints with various scenarios testing their service mindedness, ability to work under pressure physically and emotionally, their ability to solve problems, and their teamwork and leadership skills. There are judges at all checkpoints. Each candidates’ scores are based not only on how well they perform but also on how they interact with one another. At the end of the day, 34 candidates were selected to become Nok Air air hostesses.

The selected air hostesses will receive complete training that will include total safety skills from Thai Airways International.
