Webjet
has signed a five year extension on GDS arrangement with Travelport GDS, one of the world’s largest global distribution system
providers.
Webjet was one of the first online travel agents in Australia to offer the extensive network of industry suppliers and airline choice and deliver it online as an alternative and convenient option for the consumer. Webjet deployed Galileo’s Developer Tools, which enabled their booking engine and their consumer facing website to
access Galileo’s wealth of GDS content as well as assist them in automating their day to day business processes.
Webjet’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Noon
said, “We extended our contract into a longer term 5-year relationship to acknowledge
Travelport GDS’s strong support of the Webjet business and in the development of Webjet’s TSA technology. Travelport GDS has been
present with solid support and provision of technology solutions every time we have needed them throughout Webjet’s enormous 12 fold
growth over the last 3 years.”
