One&Only Reethi Rah Maldives launches ESPA Treatments Specifically Designed for Men

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Wednesday, 19 September 2007

A new ESPA treatment and product range specifically designed for men, combined with a variety of sporting and fitness activities, make One&Only Reethi Rah an ideal destination for men looking for a healthy escape.

Qualified consultants at One&Only Spa by ESPA can design a bespoke programme of fitness, sports, nutrition, spa treatments and experiences personally suited to each mans individual needs - whether already a keen fitness enthusiast or simply wishing to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

As part of the programme, the new Mens Purifying Facial, Shoulder and Scalp Massage incorporates new ESPA Men spa products to cleanse the skin and reveal a brighter, healthier complexion. The treatment itself is also personalised - beginning with a sensory testing process, the therapist selects products and techniques that are tailored to treat your individual skin needs.

Many other ESPA treatments are also suitable for men, from deep tissue recovery massage to Thai massage or ancient Ayurvedic rituals. A Lifestyle Consultant will choose signature treatments that will be most beneficial in helping to achieve personal goals.

For the committed gym-goer, the fitness studio features state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment and resistance machines from Technogym, together with their latest development, Kinesis, which uses full gravity technology to exercise and strengthen the bodys entire kinetic chain of muscles. Dedicated fitness trainers are on hand.

Favourite sports, whether diving, windsurfing or tennis can also be included within the fitness programme.

Guests have complimentary use of such facilities as kayaks, pedaloes and windsurfing, while divers and snorkellers could well see turtles, Napoleon wrasses, white-tip sharks, butterfly fish, the ubiquitous tuna and many more. Other water-based sports include kneeboarding, catamaran sailing, water-skiing, wake-boarding, paragliding and deep-sea fishing.

Back on dry land, guests can join group island jogs or play beach volleyball, football, table tennis and croquet. One&Only Reethi Rah is home to the Peter Burwash Tennis Academy, which has two floodlit synthetic-grass courts, where a professional coach offers expert tuition and can also play with any guests in need of a partner.

The Lifestyle Consultant can also include Kundalini or power yoga, stretching, pranayama breathing exercise or meditation from the extensive schedule of complimentary fitness classes that take place in the tranquil setting of the over-water Chi Pavilion.

For a truly holistic approach to well-being, the resort's resident nutritionist can provide a healthy dietary plan specific to needs, whether it is detoxifying, weight management, energy boosting or stress reducing. The Executive Chef complements this advice with tailored well-being cuisine, available in every restaurant, and fresh juices specific to the programme will be created in the spa every day. Protein, calories, fibre, vitamins, minerals and fats can be measured and a guest's intake managed during the stay.
