Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Wednesday, 19 December  2007

Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay on Oman's Musandam Peninsula has created a host of innovative and adventurous dining experiences that reflect the brand's positioning of Redefining Experiences. Although scheduled to open on 15 January 2008, the resort is already welcoming guests who are eager to experience the first Six Senses Hideaway outside of Asia.

Dining on the Sand offers a culinary experience of luxurious simplicity. Open for breakfast and dinner, the restaurant offers a variety of Pan-Asian, Middle Eastern and continental flavours, spice displays, a private Chef's Table and event and indulgence culinary evenings that make it a must dine experience.

Breakfast consists of creatively presented interactive stations offering fruits, fresh juices, cereals and yoghurts and a large a la carte selection of breakfast specialties including Indian, Japanese and Middle Eastern breakfasts. Breakfast salads, home made smoothies, energizer juices and immune boosting herbal and green teas are examples of the balance cuisine health options offered.

Evenings at Dining on the Sand transform the restaurant, with four culinary nights in addition to the regular a la carte menu featuring dishes from Asia, the Middle East and the West - with a focus on new age Japanese, contemporary Indian and traditional Thai and Western cuisine.

Drinks on the Edge and Dining on the Edge offer guests a stunning dining experience perched high atop the mountains overlooking Zighy Bay. The lounge at Drinks on the Edge presents a relaxed ambience with soft lounge music, signature cocktails and mezzes, perfectly complimenting each other and ensuring a memorable beginning to the evening. Dining on the Edge offers modern cuisine in a natural setting with innovative menu styles. An extensive wine list complements the contemporary cuisine offered by the chefs - including the Edge Experience, Tasters Menu and Gourmand Selection.

The Mood Bar offers a relaxed summer house experience of ambience and music with the just right amount of vibrancy. Sundowners and ice-cold margaritas, boutique wines and cocktails make it the place to be - before or after dinner. The cocktail list features an almost endless selection featuring Martini Flights, Champagne, classic and contemporary cocktails, an extensive selection of spirits and liqueurs, and many wines by the glass.

In villa Dining is available twenty-four hours and offers a variety of home cooked style dishes as well as light snacks. Guests can also enjoy many romantic settings for private dinners, picnics and even champagne breakfasts. A villa balcony overlooking the night-time Gulf, by the soft glow of lamplight and subtle butler service is an evening to remember.

Or experience being the only couple high atop the moonlit wine tower beneath the starry sky. A picnic surrounded by a millennium of dramatic rocky mountainscapes implies soul and natures magnificence. A simple private poolside champagne breakfast may be the ideal way to begin the day, and a barbeque diner on the villas pool deck is the perfect way to close the day at Zighy Bay.

The Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay is located on the Musandam Peninsula, a 90-minute drive from Dubai. The dramatic setting, with mountains on one side and a 1.6 kilometre white sand beach at Zighy Bay, on the other, hosts 82 pool villas, pool villa suites and deluxe pool villas, including the two-bedroom Retreats and the three-bedroom Reserve - all with butler service.
