ike hotels expands Thailand Hotel Portfolio

Travel News Asia Friday, 18 May 2007

ike hotels has taken over the management of two hotels in Thailand, the Ban Sabai Sunset Beach in Koh Samui and Ban Sabai Village in Chiang Mai.

The owner of both Ban Sabai properties, Mr. Matthias Froelich said, “With this move we expect to get greater and better marketing presence as well fine tuning our operations in order to stay ahead in this competitive segment of the hotel industry. We believe very much in the concept of ike hotels, it is an ideal setup for small individual resorts to make it possible to be a front runner in the nice market of boutique resorts.”

Located on the western shores of Koh Samui along Baan Taling Ngam Beach, Ban Sabai Sunset Beach Resort & Spa offers a peaceful alternative to the much busier resorts on the east of the island. Its stunning beach front location is picture perfect with spectacular views out to sea and of nearby islands.

The resort offers “space to breathe” where the onus is on the guest to decide just how to spend their time. The onsite spa can conjure up magical relaxing treatments and there’s also the sauna world where guests can experience various types of saunas. But if all of this sound to much like hard work the 30 metre salt chlorinated pool and surrounding sun bathing area awaits.

Culturally closer to the real Chiang Mai, Ban Sabai Village is located in San Pee Sua residential district. It’s out of town location shows that there is more to see in the area than just the town's centre.

Ban Sabai Village offers its visitors the chance to stay in rustic yet elegant Thai style buildings amidst a tropical garden that has a village or almost home-stay type atmosphere. The Village is in fact a spa village with and this is easily seen with the Thai massage pavilions located within the ground or in the bigger villa accommodation where each villa has it’s own spa treatment area. The spa is not limited to just massage as there are many different treatments and programs available including detox.
