Thaivivat Insurance selects Amadeus as Technology Partner

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 18 April 2007

Amadeus has been selected as technology partner for Thaivivat Insurance to provide travel agencies in Thailand with insurance policies through a virtual gateway.

Thaivivat Insurance is one of the leading insurance providers in Thailand, with a long history in the industry and a presence in 13 locations across the country.

With this partnership in place, travel agents will be able to present Thaivivat Insurance policies to their customers over the Amadeus reservation system. The move will significantly reduce the amount of time spent by customers on sourcing travel insurance externally.

“Having been in the business for more than 50 years, it has always been our mission to act in the best interest of our customers. We want to ensure that all travellers are covered adequately with insurance during their trips,” said Jiraphant Asvatanakul, President and Chief Executive Officer, Thaivivat Insurance. “This partnership with Amadeus means our policies have become more accessible for customers, and are now readily available on demand.”

Thaivivat Insurance is the third insurance provider in Thailand to collaborate with Amadeus, and has since made 22 products available via the  Amadeus reservation system for the Thai market, including specific products for Europe, Asia and other destinations across the globe. Thepolicies will offer customers cover for both single trips and annual policies.
