Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Thursday, 18 October 2007

Air Tahiti Nui and Haumana Cruise ships have joined forces to launch an eight night / nine day package to some of the best of the 118 remote and unspoiled islands of French Polynesia.

Just seven hours from Sydney with Air Tahiti Nui, prices start from A$6019, including taxes and accommodation in signature Tahitian over-water bungalow at the Sofitel Resort Bora Bora, and a garden bungalow at the Le Merou Bleu, Rangiroa.

“Named “The Pearl of the Pacific” by Captain Cook, Bora Bora features a Volcano located in the most beautiful lagoon in the world, where guests can dive, sail, jet ski, snorkel and even cruise the waters in glass bottomed canoes,” said Craig Lee, Regional Director Australia for Air Tahiti Nui.

From Bora Bora, guests spend three all-inclusive nights aboard the Haumana yacht cruising through the magnificent lagoon of Rangiroa in the Tuamotus, with a BBQ picnic on a deserted island and even snorkeling with sharks.

The Australian-built Haumana, which features 12 luxury cabins was specifically designed for cruising the shallow waters of this stunning region, where guests can experience the best in kayaking, diving and on-board entertainment.

Soaking up the sunshine in the outside Jacuzzi, and five-star dining with a Tahitian twist, each night guests will experience unforgettable moments in an authentic Polynesian atmosphere.

Air Tahiti Nui offers four weekly flights from Sydney to Papeete, with two direct and two via Auckland. The Haumana Cruise package is available for travel from 16 November till 15 December 2007.
