Davina Hassell
has been appointed as the New Spa Director at the JW Marriott Mumbai’s
Quan Spa.
Davina’s roots to her long and illustrious career in beauty and wellness start from Manchester, UK. A
fully qualified beauty therapist, Davina has a list of experiences to her name. She was Spa Manager
on an American cruise liner in 1992 after which she worked as Spa Manager in Doha, Qatar. Life took
Davina to Dubai where she spent the next 10 years working on spa treatments for high profile
clients, including Royalty. Eventually, Davina went back to Qatar to work with Marriott and has now
made the journey to JW Marriott Mumbai.
Davina is passionate about her work and believes that Spa Therapies greatly improve the quality of a
person’s life. She feels that today spa treatments are available for everyone, and one must make full
use of them as they help you de-stress and detox from the world outside, and in turn improve work
and life in an holistic manner.
Though work is like play for Davina, she takes time off to nurture other aspects of her life. She enjoys her daily workout at the
gym and taking long walks across the busy streets of Mumbai. Her favorite read is a good autobiography and she is an avid music fan.
