Howard Johnson signs Management Contract for Two New Hotels in China

Howard Johnson International (China) has signed two management contracts for Howard Johnson Caton Hotel Taiyuan and Howard Johnson Plaza Fuzhou developed by Shanxi Caton Group and Fuzhou Greattown Group respectively.

The 40-Storey Howard Johnson Caton Hotel Taiyuan, will be located in the heart of the city’s commercial and entertainment centre. The four-star city business hotel will have 248 spacious rooms, with extensive food & beverage and recreational facilities. The hotel is scheduled to open this September.

Howard Johnson Plaza Fuzhou, a deluxe five-star hotel is located in the Jianbing Avenue. Facing the pleasant Ming River, the hotel has 310 rooms with 40- 90 square meters space. The conference and meeting facilities will be extensive and state-of-art. Five restaurants and bars and other recreational facilities like hot spring spas and swimming pools will be unique selling points for the hotel when it opens to the public early 2008.

Howard Johnson International (China) has 13 hotels in operation in cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Wuhan, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Hangzhou and Chongqin. There will be 28 hotels open by end 2007 and 50 hotels open by end 2008 with 100 hotels in China in Howard Johnson’s portfolio by 2010.
