Rosewood set to Open New Hotel in Jeddah

Travel News Asia Friday, 1 June 2007

This summer, the luxury Rosewood Corniche Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will open for business.

The Rosewood Corniche, the latest in the Rosewood collection, claims a unique first in the Kingdom with its dedicated Ladies’ Floor, created exclusively for female travellers. On this special floor, female butlers will pack and unpack ladies’ luggage, provide information about the city’s facilities for women and assist in all other needs to ensure the complete comfort of its female visitors.

The hotel staff will wear uniforms designed by international fashion icon, Yahya Al Bishri, whose couture collection has been worn by Saudi Royals and The Prince of Wales.

Located on the Jeddah Corniche, one of the city’s most impressive locales and running parallel to the Red Sea for 20 miles, the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s fashionable northern corner – just minutes away from the key business, diplomatic and designer shopping districts.

All of the 127 luxurious accommodations offer views of the Red Sea. Within the luxurious rooms, guests will find touch-screen controls for lighting, curtains, and temperature as well as LCD TVs in all rooms and bathrooms and personalized business cards and stationery upon arrival.

The Rosewood Corniche will offer an array of culinary diversity. Whether the European fare at Habsburg, exquisite pastries at the Soliel Café, modern Japanese delicacies at Ginza i Chrome, or the Chinese restaurant Noodles, where guests can see their food freshly prepared in the open kitchen, every option at Corniche offers world-class cuisine combined with spectacular scenes of the Red Sea.

“As Rosewood continues to grow the brand internationally, we are pleased to include Jeddah among the many locations that reveal the individuality of our diverse properties,” said John M. Scott III, President and CEO of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “Rosewood Corniche offers the company an incredible opportunity to expand our brand in the Kingdom and advance our reputation as the premier provider of impeccable service and a luxury product.”
