Applications for the AIME 2008 Hosted Buyer Program will close on 23 November.

All international applicants who qualify for the program will receive complimentary airfares, accommodation, airport transfers, entry to AIME 2008, the AIME Welcome Reception and to two Business Events Forums. They also receive a schedule of appointments with exhibitors they most wish to meet.

"I would encourage anyone who is considering applying for the Hosted Buyer Program to do so quickly. We have already received more than 900 applications and places are expected to fill quickly," said Rosemarie Sama, AIME Event Director.

Qualification is based on the individual's level of responsibility, type of events they organise, number and size of events, budget and in which geographical areas they intend to place business.

Hosted buyers and media also have an exclusive opportunity to participate in the pre-touring program organised by Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau. The program showcases some of Melbourne and regional Victoria's unique experiences including Melbourne's atmospheric laneways, discovering Australia's indigenous past, Victoria's colonial towns, Great Ocean Road and the infamous Penguin Parade at Philip Island.

AIME is one of Asia Pacific's leading events for the meetings and incentives industry attracting 850 exhibitors from 50 countries and 2,600 visitors and hosted buyers. More than 6,000 people in total gather in Melbourne for the annual February event where millions of dollars worth of business is booked for the region.

AIME 2008, 16th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo will be held on 19-20 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia.
