Crowne Plaza Hotels in Sydney’s North Open for Business

Travel News Asia Thursday, 14 June 2007

Crowne Plaza hotels in Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Terrigal are open and receiving guests after the freak storm that hit the Newcastle and Hunter region over the weekend.

None of the three hotels or their surrounding grounds were damaged in the storms, and each is easily and safely accessible by road from all directions.

“Thankfully, none of our guests or staff were significantly affected by the weekend’s crazy weather across the Newcastle region. Apart from some short-lived power disruptions at the height of the storms, all three hotels have been running as normal,” said regional general manager for the three Crowne Plaza hotels, Bill Sheppard.

“Like the Newcastle and Hunter tourism bodies, we’ll be making our own contribution to attracting people back to the region over the coming weeks and months.”
