Excellent Networking Opportunities Planned for TFWA Asia Pacific 2007

Travel News Asia Friday, 13 April 2007

Delegates will be pleased to hear that the TFWA Asia Pacific Bar introduced last year in the Singapore Suntec Centre was so popular as a venue in which to carry on business discussions after the exhibition closed that it is to be used more extensively this year.

At TFWA Asia Pacific 2007 the bar area on level 3 will serve breakfast from 08.30 to 10.00 on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th May before the exhibition opens. It will also offer lunches from 11.30 to 15.00 with last orders at 14.00 (Tuesday-Thursday) and refreshments at other times.

The complimentary bar will open from 18.00 to 19.30 from Tuesday to Thursday with a range of drinks provided by sponsors: Bacardi-Martini Asia Pacific, Bardinet, Casa Vinicola Zonin Spa, Inver House Distillers, Maxxium Global Travel Retail, Miguel Torres SA, Pernod Ricard, Protege International, The Patron Spirits Company, Whyte and Mackay and William Grant & Sons Distillers.

The ever-popular golf tournament sponsored by Luxottica Group on Sunday 13th May on the manicured fairways and velvet greens of the Raffles Country Club will launch the weeks proceedings.

The place to be seen at the start of the week is the inimitable Raffles Hotel on Monday evening at 19.30 when TFWA hosts the Welcoming Cocktail, an occasion which manages to be informal yet glamorous and offers an excellent opportunity to rendezvous with colleagues.

Energetic partygoers should not miss the Evening Beach Party being repeated this year in the delightful setting of the Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island on Tuesday 15th from 20.00. Besides dancing, beach games and massage, there will be a sumptuous barbeque and refreshments sponsored by Heineken and SSP.

Highlight of the social calendar for many will be the Singapore Swing Party at The Divine Society on Thursday 17th starting at 19.30 which combines fine cuisine, dancing and entertainments with an elegant setting and a convivial atmosphere.

Entrance to these events is by ticket only and TFWA Asia Pacific badges must be presented on request. Courtesy shuttle buses will be provided from the major hotels.
