Travel News Asia Friday, 13 April 2007

Nathalie Paque, Spa Director of JW Marriott Bangkok’s JW’s Health Club and Spa believes that today’s modern man is taking an ever-increasing interest in their personal well-being, skin care and grooming.

“We see an increased number of cosmetic companies introducing men’s’ products and this has been well accepted in many societies. Men are also becoming increasingly interested in spa treatments; not only massages but also facial treatments, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures,” Nathalie said.

JW’s Health Club & Spa is a complex place for modern lifestyle man. It includes a comprehensive gym, excellent wet areas, outdoor tropical swimming pool, relaxation area and the spa.

“The most popular treatments for men are the Aromatherapy Massage, Swedish Massage, Sport Massage and the Thai Massage with hot herbal compress – perfect for tired muscles after a work out or a day at the computer. They enjoy also our coffee and salt scrubs which are very invigorating. Deep cleansing and moisturizing facials are other favorite treatments as are manicures, hair cuts and waxing.” Nathalie continued.

The Spa has a separate wet area and locker room for men, equipped with a sauna, steam, Jacuzzi as well as hot and cold plunge pools.

The juice bar, where business meeting can take place, offers healthy food and drink as well as traditional ones. With wireless connectivity throughout the hotel, this is also a great place to keep in touch with the office after a workout while relaxing over refreshments.

JW’s Health Club and Spa is occupies the entire 6th floor of the JW Marriott Bangkok.
