Diethelm Travel Asia moves into India In-bound Tourism Market

Diethelm Travel Asia (DTA) is making a move into the India in-bound tourism arena with the formation of Diethelm Travel India (DTI).

DTA Chief Executive Officer, John Watson, said, "Our customers have long been asking for a Diethelm Travel presence in India and we judge this to be the right time to enter this important and growing market. We have been fortunate to partner with G. Premjee Trading Pte Ltd. Like Diethelm, G. Premjee is a substantial and family owned trading business with over 100 years experience in the region; the synergies between our organisations are remarkable."

Mr Kirit Shah, Chairman, G. Premjee Trading Pte Ltd., said "Our first office will open in Delhi within the next six months. We are now positioning ourselves to benefit from the planned growth over the coming years in the hotel and airline sectors."

Lilli Saxer has been appointed Managing Director of Diethelm Travel India.

Diethelm Travel India is expecting to be fully operational by the end of 2007 with Lilli currently putting together a suitable team in reservations, sales & marketing and quality control.
