Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Thursday, 13 December  2007

The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel and Live Nation Global Touring have confirmed that The Police will perform at The Venetian Arena in Macao, on 7th February 2008.

From the opening notes of Message In A Bottle through a set list which includes the mega-hits: Roxanne, Synchronicity, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Every Breath You Take, When The World Is Running Down, Spirits In The Material World, the energy that Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers exude on stage is matched only by the exuberant response of the audience.

The Police World Tour began May 28th in Vancouver and has already played 40 concert dates in North America, 26 performances in Europe, with a return engagement in North America prior to their 2007 appearances in Mexico City, Monterrey, Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro and Santiago Chile.

In 2008, in addition to the newly announced date in Kuala Lumpur at National Stadium on February 4th, The Police will perform in Macau,  New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

The Police performance in The Venetian Arena at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel will be the bands first appearance in Macau. Tickets, on sale now, are available in four categories: A Reserve (MOP$1,200), B Reserve (MOP$800), C Reserve (MOP$600) and D Reserve (MOP$400).

A portion of the proceeds from this tour will be donated to WaterAid, an international NGO, founded in 1981 and dedicated to reducing poverty by improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education.
