China Southern Airlines has launched a new Pearl Class "companion fare" for flights to China departing Sydney in Australia.

Prices start at A$3200 per couple from Sydney to Guangzhou, and A$3400 per couple from Sydney to Beijing and Shanghai, for travel commencing up to 31 March next year.

Taxes of approximately A$290 per person for Guangzhou are additional.

Pearl Class on China Southern's Boeing 777-200 from Sydney offers passengers a step up from Economy class with 21% more seating space in a dedicated cabin, access to the Qantas International Business Class Lounge in Australia and the convenience of separate check in.

In addition, Pearl Class passengers have the convenience of a generous 30kg baggage allowance and personal movie screens in the 51 seat 2-3-2 cabin.

"Our new year companion fare is a Christmas gift with a difference, and with these competitive prices, it is the perfect opportunity to visit China before the boom of the Olympics," said China Southern's General Manager Australia, James Liu.
