Doris Greif appointed General Manager of Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi Shanghai

Jumeirah, the fast growing Dubai based luxury international hospitality group and member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Doris Greif as General Manager of Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi, a new hotel development in the downtown Luwan district of Shanghai, scheduled to open Summer 2008.

Doris, who will be one of Shanghai’s first ever female General Managers, joins the Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi team from Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai, where she has held the position of General Manager since 2004. Doris has been part of the Jumeirah group for the last nine years, working in Jumeirah Beach Club Resort & Spa, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Group’s Corporate Offices.

Elaborating on her new appointment, Doris said, “The Asia-Pacific region is a key geographical growth area for Jumeirah as we expand and I am delighted to be a part of Jumeirah’s first ever hotel opening.”

As its name suggests, Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi, is located in the middle of Xintiandi an exciting food & beverage, retail and entertainment component of a master-planned 52 hectare development in the heart of downtown Puxi, Shanghai, which will encompass prestigious office space, high-end residential complexes and quality retail facilities. 

The luxury hotel, designed by New York based Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects and Japanese interior design firm Super Potato, will feature 338 spacious guestrooms, suites and villas, extensive, state-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities as well as a luxury spa.
