Eclipse Hotels & Resorts International aims to boost performance with Amadeus

Travel News Asia Friday, 12 January 2007

Eclipse Hotels & Resorts International has appointed Amadeus as its provider of hospitality ICT solutions, supplying their Revenue Management System (RMS), Property Management System (PMS), Food & Beverage Inventory and Purchasing System (F&B) and Recreations and Leisure System (SPA) to all Eclipse-managed properties.

By adopting an entire suite of solutions from Amadeus, Eclipse Hotels will benefit from an unparalleled degree of integration and interoperation between its systems. Comprehensive guest information can be inputted once and then made available across all Eclipse-managed hotels. Hotel stocks and facilities will be automatically managed through this system, drawing on the guest data to generate documentation such as cleaning rotas, purchase orders and tax returns automatically. Staff throughout the hotels will have up to date information to support the provision of exceptional, personalised customer care and to conduct intelligently targeted cross-selling and up-selling.

The RMS component automatically analyses the information that passes through the hotel’s systems, generating forecasts of future demand together with suggestions on how many rooms to make available, at what price, in order to maximise revenue. After authorization by an administrator, these are automatically transferred to the front desk and active distribution channels for immediate effect.

“I am very pleased to have concluded this comprehensive agreement with Amadeus,” said Heiko W. Zscherp, Chief Executive Officer of Eclipse Hotels, in Manila. “We carefully evaluated different providers over the last five months and Amadeus has the most flexible and comprehensive solution and offered the best interoperability between the different applications. With the full implementation of Amadeus’ Revenue Management software in all our operations right from the beginning, we believe that we will be able to achieve more substantial results for our owners and investors.”
