Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Tuesday, 11 September 2007

The Hotel Bernini Bristol in the heart of Rome has opened its newly renovated Presidential Suite. The suite, on the sixth floor of the hotel, covers 130sqm, is divided in two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living rooms and a smaller one, a private gym and a swimming pool with hydro-massage that dominates the large terrace of over 150sqm from where guests can admire the entire city: the view runs from the Quirinale Palace home to the Italian President to St Peters Basilica to the Pantheon and the roofs and domes of Baroque Rome.

The terrace, comfortable area both for the day and the night times becomes a true open air living room, decorated with numerous flower pots to dress the area of green, overlooking the fountain by Bernini that inspired the use of travertine for the swimming pool, in keep with the scenery. The pool is accessible directly from the gym, so that exercise can easily be followed by a refreshing swim.

Inside the colours of the interiors recall those of the Roman sunsets: from lilac to purple to all the tones of green in the materials that dress spaces. Everything is based on neutral colours, from pearl grey to taupe, so to recall the walls of old Roman ruins. Spaces are flexible, sliding surfaces with functional islands disposed along an imaginary path from the entrance door to the bed. The floors in dark weng is raised to form leaning surfaces, whilst the ceilings turn into the walls breaking with niches the continuity of the surfaces.

In the bathroom area the attention is captured by a very special bath with strong angular lines: rather than being opposite, the seats are next to each other. At both sides, the thick rim of the bath, functions as a leaning surface for example for a glass of wine or even to create a fascinating candle light effect. The suite also offers a Turkish bath and a special shower with cromo-therapy to relax body and mind.

The Presidential Suite is equipped with the most modern technologies and comforts such as Wi Fi even on the terrace, LCD Televisions, cordless telephones, DVD player, mini-bar and safe. The Hotel Bernini Bristol is part of Sina Fine Italian Hotels.
