Cunard enhances World Club Programme

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Thursday, 1 November 2007

Cunard’s ‘World Club’ past guest programme has introduced a range of new benefits and tiers for frequent Cunard travelers on flagship Queen Mary 2, the much-loved QE2 and soon-to-be-introduced Queen Victoria. Among the enhancements is a new ‘Diamond’ tier for the most loyal Cunard guests and a revised tier structure that better reflects the travelling patterns of the line’s consumers. Now, for example, Cunard guests can achieve higher tier levels based on their number of days at sea as well as their number of completed voyages.

Carol Marlow, Cunard's President and Managing Director, said, “When it comes to acknowledging our guests’ loyalty and passion for Cunard, we seek to be the ‘best in class’ and these enhancements reflect the special services and experiences that our frequent guests find most valuable.”

Cunard World Club now has four tier levels - Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond - and each tier has benefits, which increase based on the number or voyages or days at sea.

World Club Silver guests are those who have completed one voyage and receive a tiered key card, onboard welcome back letter, World Club member savings, access to a dedicated World Club Desk, quarterly Cunarder magazine and access to the members’ section on Cunard's website.

World Club Gold level is achieved on the third to seventh voyages (or 20th to 69th day at sea) and guests receive a World Club Gold pin and invitation to the Members’ Cocktail Party, as well as a credit towards a complimentary Internet package (up to two hours) and preferred reservations in Todd English.

Cunard World Club Platinum is earned on the eighth to 15th voyage (or 71st to 149th days at sea), which include all Gold member benefits and complimentary Internet package (up to 4 hours total), discounts on dry cleaning, laundry services and White Star luggage service, a complimentary wine tasting onboard, and an invitation to the Senior Officers’ Party, as well as the traditional World Club Platinum pin, and priority check-in and disembarkation.

The new Diamond level represents the pinnacle of Cunard loyalty and is for Cunarders who’ve completed at least 15 voyages or 150 days at sea. Diamond guests receive all Platinum benefits in addition to a Diamond-level World Club pin, complimentary Internet package (up to eight hours total), complimentary lunch in Todd English, a dedicated Diamond Member contact at the Shoreside World Club Desk, priority luggage delivery and onboard sales priority reservations.
