One of the world’s most glamorous couples, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, were once again the focus of frenzied paparazzi late last week, making a rare public appearance on-stage at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Arriving in their finest haute couture red-carpet-worthy evening wear, Angelina and Brad dazzled under the glare of the spotlight, enhanced by their true celebrity status.

Hong Kong’s very own ‘it’ couple, Simon Yam and Qi Qi, also made a special appearance to unveil the Angelina and Brad wax figures.

Simon Yam featured in the Angelina Jolie movie, Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle of Life, released in 2003. He said the likeness between Angelina and her wax figure was uncanny, “Unfortunately I’ve never met Brad Pitt, but when I saw Angelina here today I was instantly transported back to the Tomb Raider 2 set.”

Kelly Mak, Head of Marketing and Customer Services at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said having the attraction’s first ‘love couple’ permanently based in the ‘Hong Kong Glamour’ section provides a new experience for guests.

“We are always trying to enhance the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong experience for our guests, and having a couple featured gives a really different feel to the attraction,” said Kelly.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is a popular hot spot for couples on dates, and the addition of the first ‘love couple’ is expected to make it even more so. In celebration of Angelina and Brad’s arrival, guests can pose alongside the celebrity couple for a souvenir photo which will be presented in a dynamic magazine inspired frame. Each souvenir photo is priced from HK$80 (6R size).
