KLM to resume Flights to Muscat

Search ASIA Travel Tips .com Friday, 10 August 2007

This winter, after an absence of more than five years, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will resume flights to Muscat. Effective 3 December 2007, the airline will operate five weekly roundtrips to the Omani capital with Airbus A330-200 equipment, offering 30 Business Class seats and 221 Economy Class seats.

KLM suspended services between Amsterdam and Muscat in early 2002.

More recently, Muscat has developed into a key market in the Middle East, in terms of both business and leisure travel. In fact, it is the largest market in the region not yet served by the combined KLM and Air France network.

Flight KL459 will depart from Amsterdam on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings, and will fly to Muscat via Kuwait. The return flight, KL460, will return to Amsterdam via Kuwait the following morning.

Muscat will be KLM’s eighth destination in the Gulf region and the 60th intercontinental destination served via KLM’s own operation. Muscat will be the 10th destination in the Gulf region served by the combined Air France KLM network via Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports.
