Hertz UAE turns to IT to Keep Pace with Soaring Demand

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Monday, 10 December  2007

Hertz UAE has turned to IT to help it keep pace with soaring demand for car rental and leasing services in the region. The company has enjoyed a 35% increase in business volumes in the first nine months of the year, and with the trend set to continue has introduced a new web enabled software system for reservations and customer service.

Working with CarPro Systems International, Hertz UAE has completed an upgrade to CarPro's new generation RentProXL and LeaseProXL software.

"This is the most modern car rental and leasing system available in the market today," said Bob Farrow, General Manager of Hertz UAE. "It's much easier for staff to use and it will make us more efficient in terms of customer service."

Farrow added: "We worked with CarPro to develop the new software, analysing every aspect of our operation and looking very carefully at what we needed from the system."

"These latest solutions will provide us with the versatility we need to optimise our fleet utilisation, minimise operating costs, increase efficiency and quality."

Hertz UAE, the most successful Hertz franchise in the Middle East, began in 1993 and has grown into one of the largest car rental and leasing companies in the Emirates, operating with a modern young fleet of over 6000 cars.

Dave Kaplan, CarPro's VP Marketing & Sales said, "We have worked closely with Hertz UAE during the past few months and the high level of cooperation between our companies has resulted in a smooth and successful migration transition period. We are confident that within a very short period of time Hertz UAE will begin to reap the benefits of this agreement."
