The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa
has appointed Mr. Egon Lassmann as General Manager.
Mr. Lassmann is an
Austrian/American who has extensive experience in Asia having worked in the region for the past 23 years.
Upon graduating from the Hotel School of Vienna he worked in the prestigious Hotel Imperial located in Austria. After working in various
positions in Europe he moved to Malaysia and has worked in senior management positions with several well-known Malaysian hotels
such as the Federal Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, the former Regent Hotel in Kuala Lumpur (now the Grand Plaza Parkroyal Hotel)
and various hotels within the Berjaya Group.
His current duties include upgrading the Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa into a four-star property. Mr. Lassmann is married to a Malaysian and has one son.
