Exclusive Residences for Sale at The St. Regis Hotel, New York

Travel News Asia 8 March 2006

The St. Regis Hotel, New York is to offer four full floors (8 – 11) as exclusive residential dwellings. This is the first time any of the deluxe guest rooms or suites in the Beaux-Arts building will be available for sale.

The introduction of St. Regis Residence Club, New York, Inc. follows the success of the St. Regis Residence Club, Aspen, the first fractional offering from the St. Regis brand which set a new benchmark for luxury fractional sales when a four-week membership was sold for over $1 million. St. Regis Residence Club, New York will be located on the 8th and 9th floors of the hotel, and will offer 22 deluxe studios, one or two bedroom suites with membership sold in 28-day increments. Additionally, two full floors of wholly-owned St. Regis Residences will occupy the 10th and 11th floors. Sales of both residential offerings are underway with expected occupancy of Summer 2006.

“The St. Regis Residence Club, New York will be an exceptional opportunity for a limited few to own part of this landmark property. The St. Regis Residence Club, New York will redefine customer service and luxury in the fractional market,” said Raymond L. “Rip” Gellein, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Vacation Ownership.

The St. Regis Residences and The St. Regis Residence Club, New York, as well as the hotel’s stately guest rooms and suites, have been redesigned by noted interior designers Sills Huniford, known for their work with such clients as Tina Turner and Vera Wang, and will be offered to potential buyers in two color schemes: steel blue-green and yellow saffron daffodil. All St. Regis Residences will feature silk draped canopy beds, deeply carved crown moldings, crystal chandeliers, marble bathrooms with double sinks, private shower stalls and the most updated technology available today.
