Frank A. Liepmann appointed as New General Manager at Renaissance Seoul Hotel

Frank A. Liepmann has been appointed as the new General Manager at the Renaissance Seoul Hotel.

Mr. Liepmanns career began with an apprenticeship in Mannheim, Germany which included vocational studies in Bad Ueberkingen. He went on to graduate from the Swiss Hotel School of Luzern, and also attended summer courses at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Assignments prior to joining Marriott included positions with other International Hotel chains working his way up from Banquet Manager through Director of F&B to General Manager at luxury establishments in Switzerland, the Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia., and the USA.

Mr. Liepmann joined Marriott International in 1989 at the JW Marriott Hong Kong and continued his orientation program with the group at the Marriott Desert Springs before receiving his first Marriott posting as Resident Manager at the JW Marriott Century City, Los Angeles where he stayed through mid 1991. He then returned to Asia to assume a GM posting and advanced to the role of Senior Vice President with Park Plaza International. Mr. Liepmann re-joined Marriott in 1998 as General Manager of the New World Hotel Saigon and opening General Manager of the Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon. He then served as General Manager at several properties including Busan Marriott Hotel, Korea; JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya, Indonesia; and Guam Marriott Resort & Spa, USA prior to his current appointment at the Renaissance Seoul Hotel.

In his spare time he enjoys snow skiing and playing golf, as well as experiencing and exploring different countries and cultures.
