Search ASIA Travel Tips .com 8 March 2006

Amadeus has signed a global Preferred Supplier Agreement with ITP-International Travel Partnership, a leading consortium for worldwide business travel, based in England. Amadeus will build a global technology platform for ITP comprising the following elements:

- A Travel agency desktop – Amadeus Selling Platform (Vista) a browser-based point of sale platform to allow travel professionals to focus on selling travel and developing customer relations. The platform allows agents to choose how they work fastest – with both cryptic and GUI modes. It is a truly scalable solution that in its simplest form is suitable for the smallest start-up agency, yet is robust enough to be scaled up to suit the most demanding multi-national customers.

- A Corporate self-booking portal – a flexible online booking solution which will enable corporations to manage their travel programmes in conjunction with their preferred agency partners more effectively. Employees will be able to plan and book policy-compliant travel itineraries directly from any PC connected to the internet.

ITP is a leading consortia of 400 associate travel agencies worldwide – from the United States and Brazil to Kazakhstan and Sweden. Since it was established in 1986, the consortia continues to grow and attract the market leading independent agencies within defined geographical locations.

Jean-Claude Fert, CEO of ITP-International Travel Partnership said, “ITP has decided to choose Amadeus as its preferred technology partner given the commitment and willingness that Amadeus has shown in providing and developing the very best technical and web distribution solutions to our individual agency partners and our joint corporate customers around the world”.
