Amadeus
has appointed Joshua Tong as Director Airline Business Group North Asia.
Based in Shanghai, Joshua will be responsible for Amadeus’ Airline Business Group activities in the Greater China and Indo-China markets,
encompassing airline distribution and IT solutions businesses.
Prior to joining Amadeus, Joshua was the Chief Technology Officer for ZUJI.com, where he built and managed world-class travel websites. In his
time there, he was responsible for its oversight, maintenance, product development and upgrade, and also engineered the regional expansion of
ZUJI’s automated supporting system infrastructure and data centres.
Before
ZUJI, Joshua spent 12 years in Abacus International, holding various regional management positions in product development, product
marketing, and business development. He helped to implement a range of systems for hotels, tour packages, fares and web booking sites that won
Singapore IT awards and government funding.
He was also tasked with the growth of the online consumer channel for Abacus where he managed several lines of business including sales of
booking engines to airlines, travel agencies and web portals.
