Galileo strengthens relationship with Cebu Pacific Air

Travel News Asia 7 March 2006

Galileo International has signed a marketing agreement with Cebu Pacific Air (CEB).

Under the terms of this agreement, Galileo connected travel agents will have full access to the airline’s international and domestic fares, including their promotional offers, and be allowed to book domestic itineraries, thereby improving the service and level of choice that they can deliver to their customers. At the same time, the agreement provides Cebu Pacific a much larger distribution network through Galileo’s GDS, giving them access to customers throughout the region.

Edwin Bautista, VP Sales for Cebu Pacific Air, said, “This partnership with Galileo will enable us to serve an even larger and wider network of markets, allows us to be more accessible, and expand our sales potential into markets where we have not been represented before. At the same time, this partnership allows us to further tap into the travel agent market to enhance awareness of our brand and content globally, while positioning Cebu Pacific as a key player in the Philippines and the region.”

Launched in March 1996, low cost airline Cebu Pacific Air, currently operates 80 daily flights to 15 domestic destinations and international flights to Hong Kong and Seoul, Korea.
