The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts to Manage Luxury Wellness Resort in Koh Samui

The Unique Collection of Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with the Kamalaya Koh Samui.

Commenting on the move, the Managing Director of Kamalaya Koh Samui, John Stewart said, "We are thrilled to become part of The Unique Collection, see this as a perfect fit and shall jointly develop the Unique Kamalaya concept. We are confident that The Unique Collection will be able to share their valuable expertise to ensure Kamalaya’s optimum success.”

Kamalaya is a Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa situated on Koh Samui’s pristine southern coast. In addition to offer medical and holistic treatments from Eastern and Western healing traditions, Kamalaya also hosts retreats and events by world renowned teachers in healing, yoga and the arts.

Centered around a cave temple that once served Buddhist monks as a place of meditation and spiritual retreat, Kamalaya means "Lotus Realm", an enduring image of the growth and enhancement of the human spirit.

The property lies amidst towering granite rocks, lush gardens, and cascading streams at the edge of an idyllic lagoon on the tropical island of Koh Samui. Kamalaya comprises of 60 units built with natural materials within Koh Samui's surrounding landscape, creating a fusion between indoor and outdoor space. The resort includes Hillside Rooms, Suites, Bungalows and Beachfront Villas.

Kamalaya unfolds amidst waterfalls and towering boulders and offers customized treatment programs that address each guest's physical, emotional, and spiritual goals, inviting one on a journey towards sustained creativity and joyous wellbeing. A world-class conference center, the Yantra Hall, will host speakers and seminar leaders throughout the year on a wide range of inspiring topics. 

Kamalaya's Soma Restaurant and Amrita Café feature sumptuous cuisine with sweeping views of ocean, sky, and outlying islands. The adjoining Alchemy Bar serves tonics based on ancient Taoist, Thai, and Ayurvedic recipes. Other facilities at Kamalaya include lap, leisure, and plunge pools; a wood-floored Yoga Pavilion; the Shakti Fitness Center; a Library and Study Center; and an Art & Antiques Gallery. Recreational activities in the area range from sailing and sea kayaking to hiking, elephant trekking, and golf.
