Starwood opens First Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Shanghai

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Shanghai - the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong, rebranded from Grand You You Hotel. Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong is the second Four Points by Sheraton hotel to open in mainland China.

Developed and further refurbished by Shanghai You You International Plaza, Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong is part of a new multi-use complex – You You International Plaza Complex. The complex also includes the second Sheraton Hotel in Shanghai: the Sheraton Shanghai Hotel & Residences Pudong, which is expected to be ready in 2008. Once completed, the complex will consist of four buildings: the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong; the Sheraton Hotel; the Sheraton Residences; an office tower and a retail complex.

Strategically located in Lujiazui finance and trade district, overlooking the Huangpu River, Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong features 336 newly-refurbished rooms, including 39 suites. It is only ten minutes to the Shanghai New International Expo Center, next to Metro Line #4, 35 minutes from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, 40 minutes from Hongqiao Airport, and 15 minutes to the famous Xintiandi recreation area, Yuyuan Garden and the Bund.

All rooms are equipped with a 32-inch LCD flat screen television, a spacious working table, signature Four Comfort Bed, and free broadband Internet access. Guests can also enjoy complimentary wireless high speed Internet access in all public areas.

Complete with 10,400 square feet of meeting and function space, the hotel offers a total of eight function rooms catering to all manner of set ups ranging from a small-scale board meeting to a gala dinner. The meeting facilities boast complimentary wireless high speed Internet access, while guests can release stress after a long day of meetings in the hotel’s health club that is free of charge for all guests and open 24/7.

When it comes to wining and dining, the hotel has five outlets - on the top floor of the hotel is a Pan Asia restaurant featuring cuisines from around the region. Also on offer are an all-day dining restaurant with an Italian touch and the Chinese restaurant featuring authentic Chinese food. The lobby lounge and the wine bar both offer a good place to relax with a drink.
