Euleen Goh Yiu Kiang appointed to Singapore Airlines Board of Directors

Singapore Airlines has appointed Ms Euleen Goh Yiu Kiang to its Board of Directors. Ms Goh has assumed office as an independent, non-Executive Director.

Ms Goh is an experienced businesswoman and director. She holds office in a non-Executive capacity as Chairman of International Enterprise Singapore and as Chairman of the Financial Industry Competency Standards Committee.

She is also a Board member of Mediacorp Pte Ltd, a Council member of the Singapore Institute of Banking and Finance and Adviser to the Singapore Institute of International Affairs. She has previously served on the National Heritage Board and as a member of the Council on Corporate Disclosure and Governance.

Ms Goh held various senior management positions in Standard Chartered Bank before retiring in March 2006 after 21 years service. She was Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore, from 2001 until March 2006. In that role, she was responsible for driving the Bank’s corporate governance and strategic agenda in Singapore.

Before becoming the Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Singapore, she was Group Head, Local Corporates and Specialised Businesses, responsible for the group’s corporate businesses in Asia Pacific and the other emerging market countries, as well as specialized global businesses, including structured trade solutions and private equity. Other senior positions held included market risk, asset and liability management and sales.

She is a non-Executive director of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad and Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) Public Company Limited. She also serves on the Board of her alma mater, Singapore Chinese Girls’ School.
